This plugin performs Optical Character Recognition (OCR) on behalf of other applications. It provides the possibility to capture text from printed books and newspapers by pointing the rear camera of your device.
Note: please download this plugin only if you have an application that needs it.
The OCR plugin requires a back camera with autofocus to perform proper OCR functionality. Note that Google Play services are required on your device.
The following applications may use OCR plugin to capture text via camera:
- Online Thesaurus by Livio, version 3.5 or later
- Online Translator by Livio, version 3.5 or later
- Online and Offlline Dictionaries by Livio, version 3.5 or later
Note: this plugin recognizes only Latin Alphabet.
